At the time of her passing on January 10, 2024, she had reached the age of 87 years. Mary Khoury had been a resident of Paterson at the time of her transit through the city. You are being informed of her passing with a profound sense of sorrow and with the expectation that she will be resurrected. The news that she has passed away is transmitted to you.
The love and kindness of the Lord had caused her to enter a condition of sleep, and she had taken advantage of this opportunity. The 30th of July, 1936 is her birthday, and she was born in Lattakia, which is located in Syria. Both of her parents, Najib and Badra (Michael) Khoury, passed away before their daughter was born. Her mother was named Badra, and her father was named Badra.
Since that time, both of her parents have passed away. Neither of them is alive anymore. Over the course of the years preceding up to her retirement, Mary spent a significant portion of her working life in the field of sewing. Her involvement in the sector spanned a considerable amount of time. Her siblings, including Helen Khoury, Adoule Gazawie, Sami, Hana, and George Khoury, had all passed away before to her dying.
She was the only surviving member of her family. This day, she remains the only member of her family to have made it through the ordeal alive. Without exception, not a single one of her siblings was still alive and well. Among the individuals who will carry on her legacy in the years to come are a substantial number of her nieces and nephews, as well as her great nieces and nephews.
Her legacy will be carried on by these individuals. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the Khoury and Gazawie families on the loss of a beloved member of their family. We would like to express our most sincere condolences to both families. As a result of the dissemination of this information, the Clergy and Parish Council has been left in a state of feeling extremely depressed.
May the soul of Mary, who was a servant of God, find peace in the presence of Christ, who is our life and resurrection, and may He also grant her family with consolation, patience, and strength at this trying time. May Mary’s soul rest in peace. I pray that Mary’s soul finds eternal rest. I hope and pray that Mary’s soul is at peace for all eternity.
