Charles Wayne “Jap” Robinson, a 72-year-old resident of Smithville, died in his home in Smithville on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born on November 18, 1951, in Wayne, Michigan, to his deceased parents, Charles Robinson and Jacqueline Evans Robinson. Wayne, who retired from TRW, is not only a Mason but also a member of the NWTF and a lifelong member of OOIDA (Owner-Operator Individual Driver Association). Additionally, he had previously been affiliated with the Federal Aviation Administration.

Charles Wayne “Jap” Robinson, a 72-year-old citizen of Smithville, Massachusetts, died in his home in Smithville on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born on November 18, 1951, in Wayne, Michigan, to his deceased parents, Charles Robinson and Jacqueline Evans Robinson. Wayne, who is a retired individual from TRW, is not only a Mason but also a member of the NWTF and a lifelong member of OOIDA (Owner-Operator Individual Driver Association). Additionally, he had previously been affiliated with the Federal Aviation Administration.

The funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 16th at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. The interment will be at Hullett Cemetery following the ceremony. The family visiting will occur on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM, on Monday from 11 AM to 8 PM, and on Tuesday starting at 11 AM until the service at 2 PM.

Wayne’s parents, brother-in-law Tommy Stockling, nephew David Wayne Alexander, and close friends from the Coconut Ridge Community had all passed away before him. All of them deceased before to his passing.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Robinson of Smithville. He is also survived by his two sons, Nick Robinson (Stacey Wood) of Smithville and Chris Robinson (Christy Evans) of Smithville. Additionally, he is survived by seven grandchildren: Isaac Robinson of Chattanooga, Keirstine Robinson of Sparta, Kaden Robinson of Sparta, Hunter Robinson (Jenilyn Parrish) of Madison, Chloe Robinson, Hayden Evans, and Dustin Evans, all of Smithville. Furthermore, he is survived by one great grandchild, Baby Boy Evans, who is expected soon.

There are four sisters named Wanda Robinson, Joyce Alexander (married to Tommy Alexander), Debra Robinson, and Jackie Stockling, all residing in Smithville. Additionally, there are two brothers named David Robinson (married to Linda Robinson) and Terry Robinson (married to Sara Robinson), also living in Smithville. Furthermore, there are two sisters-in-law named Kathy Creveling (partnered with Bob Martin) from Hume, Virginia, and Grace Creveling (partnered with Al Glodowski) from Naperville, Illinois.
