Ben Lynch Suicide Snowboarder, 2021, Leaves Ben Lynch Dead -Death

Ben Lynch made the unfortunate and irreversible choice to end his own life on April 26, 2021, and the world lost a brilliant person as a result. He was just 31 at the time. The people in the snowboarding business who knew him have been posting their reactions on Instagram, and we have compiled a handful of the more poignant posts that we have seen online.

My relationship with Ben can be summed up in this way. While Ben squeaks out with his obvious layback, I come up short and come dangerously close to coming into contact with a tree. Ben had a significant influence on me. Possibly because they were a magnified version of my own personality, there were essential aspects of his personality that I immediately identified with.

At all times, he was unquestionably himself, and he did not buy into the same society standards and trappings that the majority of us do. Ben was expressive and sincere, and he did so in a manner that was refreshingly unrefined. I had a lot of respect for Ben as a snowboarder, and the moment I met him, my passion for snowboarding was reignited at a time when I was beginning to feel burned out on the sport. Ben, Tucker, Jackson, and Ryan seemed to find the most satisfaction in simply riding around the mountain and launching off or running over whatever was in the way.

This was exactly what I wanted to do, but I hadn’t found a crew to do it with. While the majority of the individuals I knew wanted to set up spots or lap the park, Ben, Tucker, Jackson, and Ryan appeared to find the most enjoyment in doing so. Ben and I spent the majority of our time together during a period in our life when we were both carefree and on the verge of becoming reckless.

When it came to Ben, it was when he was beginning to reject the demands of the snowboard industry, which he had always seemed to have a relationship with that was both bittersweet and bittersweet. For me, it was after I graduated from college. This period of my life will always be remembered as one of the most memorable times in my life, and Ben was a significant contributor to it. Seven years ago, nearly to the day, this video was captured on camera. On the previous evening, we had been virtually driven out of the town of Georgetown completely.

The night was so hazy that I will never forget it. The straw hat that I am currently wearing was purchased at a petrol station when I made a stop there in the morning. Ben, upon seeing it, declared that he, too, required one. The fact that Ben felt it was nice helped me feel cool with myself. However, it was late in the day, and it was likely that his had already left by this point.
