Jasmine Nicole Ivy, born to Phyllis Matthews and Keith Boyd on March 18, 1981, left an indelible mark on the world during her time here. She departed this life and entered her eternal rest in the Lord on January 1, 2024. Jasmine’s journey was one of unwavering faith, academic excellence, and professional distinction. From an early age, Jasmine’s life was intertwined with the teachings of the Lord.

She dedicated herself to God, embracing her faith with fervor. As an adult, she became an integral part of the New Life Worship Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, under the guidance of Pastor John Ramsey, Sr. Jasmine actively participated in the church’s prayer ministry and attended services regularly with her beloved family. Jasmine’s intellectual prowess and commitment to learning were evident from her earliest years.

She attended St. Richard’s Episcopal School, where she not only excelled academically but also formed enduring relationships. Graduating from North Central High School was just the beginning of her educational journey. She furthered her studies at Indiana University Bloomington, majoring in Journalism and Public Relations. In 2012, Jasmine earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She continued her educational pursuit, obtaining a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Management and Urban Affairs.

Her academic journey culminated in 2017 with the achievement of a Juris Doctorate degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Professionally, Jasmine showcased her brilliance and dedication in various capacities. Her tenure at Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, where she specialized in collective bargaining, highlighted her legal expertise. Notably, she was recognized as an Inaugural Diversity Fellow-Associate, showcasing her commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Later, she contributed her skills to Indiana University of Health, Riley Children’s Hospital in Human Resources, focusing on employee engagement, talent, and change management. Colleagues remember her for her bright personality and kindness, which she extended even in the demanding environment of the workplace. Jasmine Ivy’s legacy is not only marked by her professional accomplishments but also by the positive impact she had on those around her.

Her genuine kindness, unwavering faith, and commitment to excellence will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
