A woman was killed in a terrible incident that took place on Tuesday evening in Langley. The subject of this report is the tragic collision that resulted in the death of the woman.
The data that were provided by the Langley Red Cross and Provincial Police indicate that the event took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. on 264 Street at 48 Avenue. This information describes the location of the occurrence.
Mounties issued a statement that read, “Initial investigation has indicated that the driver of a Dodge pickup was stopped in the northbound lane of 264 Street waiting to turn left onto 48 Avenue,” as stated in the statement.
The statement was made by the Mounties. A Ford Taurus, also northbound on 264 Street, did not react to the stopped pickup truck until the last minute and swerved into the southbound lane, into the path of an oncoming five-tonne truck.” The Criminal Collision Investigation Team of the Langley RCMP was also present at the scene of the collision.
This was in addition to the presence of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service of the Lower Mainland. 264 Street was shut down for the majority of the night as a result of the investigation that was being conducted regarding the incident.
As stated in the official report from the police, the reopening of the establishment occurred at approximately 3:50 in the morning. The investigators are requesting that any dash cam footage that any of the individuals who were travelling in the vicinity at the time of the accident may have in their hands be reviewed by all of the individuals who were involved in the accident.
