April Lanteigne was only three months away from reaching her 60th birthday when she passed away unexpectedly at her home. Born in Miramichi, she was the only daughter of Edmund and June (Blackmore) Lanteigne, who both passed away before she was born.
She was the youngest child. Two of her brothers, Todd, who lives in British Columbia, and Karl, who lives in Miramichi, as well as two nephews, Destin and Bradley, and a great-niece named Maria, predeceased her.
April was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jean (Allison) and Frank Blackmore, as well as her paternal grandparents, Eli and Elizabeth (Comeau) Lanteigne. Her parents were also among those who passed away before her.
Additionally, her brother David, who passed away in 2017, as well as her aunt Dianne Ryan, passed away before her. She leaves behind numerous cousins, as well as aunts and uncles on her father’s side, in addition to a large number of cousins whom she cherished.
Over the course of her life, April had a wide range of pets, including cats, dogs, rats, and other creatures. She was a huge animal lover. If she had the chance to assist an animal that was in need, she would never squander it. In addition to that, she was a passionate angler, and whenever the weather was favourable, she would pack her fishing gear and walk to the location that was closest to her. Being close to the ocean offered her a sense of calm.
April was also a supporter of those who were marginalised and disadvantaged, and she was frequently seen advocating for causes that she believed required attention. She was a protector of everything that she believed was important.
She had the ability to be unyielding until a result that was equitable and right was reached. She resided at 15 Cole Crescent for the past four years, and the friends that she formed there will miss her dearly. She will be greatly missed.
