T.J. Ames Obituary, T.J. Ames Has Passed Away – Death

Mrs. Sherry Godbold Marshall’s widower, Thomas James “T.J.” Marshall, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Medical University of South Carolina Florence. Lynchburg was the location of his birth on August 31, 1942.

He was the son of William McFarland Marshall, who passed away, and Lucille Edens Marshall Ward, who also passed away. He had served in the United States Air Force and had ended his career as a South Carolina State Trooper.

He is survived by his much loved grandson, Thomas Scott, who resides in Hartsville; his daughter, Susan M. Walters, who resides in Hartsville; his son, William E. “Billy” Marshall, who resides in Manning; his sister, Cecelia Montgomery, who is in Columbia; and his brother, Edward D. Ward, who resides in Lynchburg.

His wife and his parents were among the people who passed away before him. He was also predeceased by two brothers, namely William M. Marshall and Frank E. Ward.

On Monday, December 5, 2022, at two o’clock in the afternoon, a funeral service will be performed in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home. The Reverend Randy James and the Reverend Mac Atkinson will preside over the ceremony.

A subsequent interment will take place in Clarendon Memorial Gardens. The following individuals have been selected to serve as pallbearers: El Jordan, Brent Walters, Liam Howell, Connor Kirkley, Ryan Williamson, and Dr. William M. Marshall III.
