The death of Reed E. Nichols, who resided in Beaumont and was 76 years old at the time of his passing, occurred on March 16, 2022. His birth took place on September 13, 1945 in Beaumont, and his mother, Ellen Barton, and his father, Howard Grant Nichols, were overjoyed to welcome him into them.
Reed served his country honourably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a veteran of the military forces.
Reed was a co-owner of Nichols Company for more than half a century. He was present for the entirety of that time period. Baked goods and cooking were two of his favourite hobbies, in addition to fishing and touring.
The ability to spend time with his grandchildren, in particular, was something that Reed appreciated very much. They will remember him with affection since he was a dedicated spouse, father, brother, Pop, and Big Shot. His family and friends will cherish his memory.
Survivors include his wife of over thirty years, Jana Nichols of Beaumont; sons, Will Nichols and his wife, Kimberlee; and Jeff Wheeler and his wife, Emily, all of Beaumont; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Woodworth and her husband, Tom, of Happy Valley, Oregon; grandchildren, Duncan Nichols Russell and his wife, Anna; Madeline Nichols; John William Woodworth; Henry Reed Woodworth; Haddie Wheeler; and Sofie Wheeler; brothers, Howard Nichols, Jr. and his wife, Sally; Kenneth Nichols and his wife, Paula; and Allan Nichols, all of Beaumont; numerous extended family members; and many loving friends of Bill W.
