Marcie Jo Jackson, who resided in Columbus and was 66 years old at the time of her untimely death, passed suddenly unexpectedly at her home on Monday, April 3, 2023. On Tuesday, July 3, 1956, she was born in Chillicothe.
Her birth took place within the city. Both of her parents, Ronald E. Long and Barbara A. Merritt Woollet, had already passed away before she was born. She was their daughter.
Some of the people who are able to carry on her legacy include her son, Kyle Merritt Jackson, and his wife, Sarah, who reside in Grove City; her grandchildren, Seth Merritt Jackson, Breanna Marie Jackson, and Logan Hughes Dennison; her great-grandchild, Oaklynn Lee Marie Jackson; her sister, Kristi Howard, who is married to Ken and resides in Holden Beach, North Carolina; her brother, Edwin Long, who resides in Chillicothe; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A number of people, including her grandmother and grandfather, Dorothy and Lewis Merritt, as well as one of her brothers, David Long, had already passed away prior to her passing.
Having completed her high school education at Teays Valley High School, Marcie attained her diploma. After completing her nursing studies at Louisiana State University, where she concentrated on cardiology, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the institution.
After that, she went on to work in the Emergency Room at the Ohio State University Hospital for more than ten years, during which time she spent a substantial amount of nights, weekends, and holidays. During that time, she was responsible for preparing patients for emergency situations. During her time as a carer, she demonstrated a loving and altruistic nature.
