Wyatt Lippoldt Obituary, Resident of Edwardsville IL is Dead – Death

The death of Dr. Arthur “Art” “Lin” F. Lippoldt, DVM, took place on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 9:54 pm in Hamel, Illinois. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing. His parents, Arthur J. Lippoldt and Anna L. Lippoldt (née McCutcheon), welcomed him into the world on February 6, 1938 in Alton, Illinois.

Art received his high school diploma from Roxana in the year 1956. After completing his undergraduate studies at SIUC, he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree and then went on to earn his doctorate from the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine in 1965.

In a ceremony that took place at Gordon Moore Park on September 3, 1984, Art wed Linda Malone. She is able to survive. Over the course of 38 years, he was a co-owner and operator of Hawthorne Animal Hospital.

He was a member of the Community Advisory Panel for ConocoPhillips, he was involved in the Board of Advisory of the American Land Conservancy Middle Mississippi River Programme, he was a lifetime member of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, and he was a State Chairman, Local Chapter President, and lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited. He demonstrated a strong sense of pride in his community.

Art was an active hunter and had a deep appreciation for the natural world. In particular, he delighted in hunting waterfowl that were migrating. Spending time with his family and friends was the thing that he enjoyed doing the most.

In addition to his wife, Art is survived by his four children, Kathy (Detlef) Ball of Edwardsville, Becky (David) Steinmann of Hamel, Aaron (Michelle) Lippoldt of Worden, and Matt Lippoldt and his girlfriend Jennifer Tolle of Worden; a son-in-law, Keith Biver of Worden; a sister, Iris (John) Uzzell of East Alton; ten grandchildren, Logan and Molly Ball, Samantha and Lizzy Steinmann, Nicholas, Wyatt, and Sadie Lippoldt, Chelsey and Kayla Lippoldt, and Allison Biver; and one great-grandson, Noah.
