Roland Phillip Dean, age 89, of Tecumseh, Maryland, who had previously resided in Crisfield, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Cambrian Assisted Living. He had been a resident of Crisfield, Maryland.
Tina (Severson) Dean, to whom he was born on June 9, 1932 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was his mother. He was the son of Paul Dean, who had gone away, and Tina Dean.
During the Korean War, Roland served his country with the United States Navy, and he did it with a great deal of pride. After working in the hydroelectric dam sector for a number of years, he eventually left his position as Superintendent and went on to pursue other opportunities.
Roland is survived by his one great granddaughter, Hannah Greene, who resides in Ypsilanti, Michigan; his daughter, Debbie (Chuck) Greene, who resides in Tecumseh, Michigan; his son, Dennis Phipps, who resides in Havre de Grace, Maryland; his sister, Patricia Carlson, who resides in New Brighton, Minnesota; and his two grandsons, Eric Greene (Kimberly) Greene of Ypsilanti, Michigan and Brian Greene of Chicago, Illinois.
His wife Delores, his sister Phyllis, and his stepdaughter Diane Phipps all passed away before him. He was taken from this world by his wife. Before he was born, his parents were also among those who had already departed away.
Roland’s wishes were followed, and the cremation procedures were carried out in accordance with those wishes. Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh, Michigan will serve as the location for the interment, which will take place in the columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lions Club or other charitable organisations.
