At nine forty minutes past the hour on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Penn Hall in Chambersburg, Jean (Ketterman) Cussins McClure, who was 88 years old and lived on Raystown Road in Walker Township, Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord.
Born in Bedford on December 27, 1928, she was the daughter of William A. Ketterman, who passed away, and Nevia (O’Neal) Ketterman, who also passed away.
Her first husband, Paul B. Cussins, passed away on October 24, 1954, which was the day before she ended her life. Orbisonia Methodist Church, Orbisonia was the location where she and Joseph W. McClure exchanged their vows and became husband and wife on December 10, 1960. The death of Mr. McClure occurred on February 23, 2012, prior to her passing.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Cussins) Rodgers and her husband, Paul, of Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Rodgers and his wife, Courtney, of York, Alan Rodgers and his wife, Crescent, of Rochester, Minn., Brian Rodgers and his wife, Francesca, of Lancaster, Kathy (Tress) Heaster and her husband, Greg, of Newport, and Beth (Tress) Cutshall and her husband, Jim, of Homer City; and nine great-grandchildren, Auryon, Cora, Carter, Isaiah, Emmanuel, Ayla, Seth, Sean, and Anna. In addition, she is survived by two sisters and a brother:
Eleanor Giffin and her husband, Gerald, of Empire, Michigan; Hazel Kendall and her husband, Edward, of Bedford; and Joseph L. Ketterman of Boca Raton, Florida; as well as a sister-in-law, Shirley Ketterman of Bedford.
Margaret Tress, her daughter, Laverna Ketterman, her sister, and Ronald Ketterman, her brother, all passed away before her. Their deaths came before hers.
