Michael Keith Booth, who was 70 years old and lived in Westfield, North Carolina, passed away at Forsyth Medical Centre on Friday, October 13, 2023, following a brief bout with illness. On March 21, 1953, Michael Booth was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina.
His parents, Palmar Willie “Hoogie” Booth, who passed away, and Peggy Ann Taylor Booth, who is still alive, were his parents. After forty years of service, he took his retirement from the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Michael was a member of the National Rifle Association and the National Muzzleloaders Association, and he was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also earned the rank of Eagle Scout and played in the National Rifle Association.
In addition to that, he was a devoted supporter of the Red Sox and Wood Brothers Racing. It was the Primitive Baptist Faith that Michael adhered to. He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Elijah and Elizabeth Taylor, as well as Nora and Walter Jackson Booth. His father was also among those who passed away before him.
Debbie Spillman Booth, his devoted wife of forty-two years, his three daughters, Tina Denise Booth Plunkett (and her husband Walter), Tara Elise Booth Nunn (and her husband Dustin Pyrtle), and Tessa Dawn Booth Collins (and her husband Phillip), his son, Travis Michael Booth (and his wife Breanna), his mother, Peggy Ann Taylor Booth, his brother, Rodney Taylor Booth, and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Newsom (and her husband Tommy), his nine grandchildren, including Trent, Alexis, Jonathan, Savannah, Reid, Riley, Mikah, Lily, and Blake, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, are among those who are left to cherish his memory.
