Margaret McKee Obituary, Read More About Margaret McKee

A REMINISCENCE OF SIGNIFICANCE You could have seen that the flag of the Castle was lowered to half-staff a week ago. This is something that you might have seen. The ceremony that was planned in Margaret McKee’s memory was a means to pay tribute to her after she had passed away. Not only would we like to offer our most sincere condolences to Margaret’s family, but we would also like to extend them to all of her friends.

Sincere condolences are sent to you on behalf of the Board of Directors of the FOPC for the loss you have suffered. Margaret was not just a lengthy supporter of Friends of Portencross Castle since she was a member of the group, but she was also one of the founding members of the organisation throughout her time as a member.

She died away peacefully in Crosshouse Hospital, which was the location where she passed away, in the early hours of December 20.

She did not experience any discomfort in her final moments. Bobby, her husband, was not only a member of the Board of Directors for the FOPC’s Board of Directors, but he was also a forceful advocate for the organisation. Margaret and Bobby, who were blessed with three sons, were able to count a total of eight grandchildren among their family members over their lifetime.

The Farland House in Portencross was purchased by them, and once it was brought up to date, they made the decision to make it their permanent residence.

As a lady who was graceful, clever, and joyous, and who was always inquiring about the world around her, Margaret will forever be remembered by me as someone who possessed these qualities. She never stopped being interested in the world that surrounded her. It is going to be quite difficult to function without her presence.
