A shooting occurred on January 6th, and he was one of the victims. His wounds are quite dangerous to his life. Due to the fact that Kole’s cervical spinal cord was cut, he is paralysed from the neck down.
This means that he is unable to breathe on his own that does not require the assistance of a ventilator. Not only that, but he also suffered a fracture to his skull and a severe injury to his oesophagus. He will undergo surgery to repair the gunshot wound to his neck, the placement of a voice box, hardware to support his cervical spine, repair of the skull fracture, and a tracheotomy so that he can continue to have full assistance with his breathing. Kole was transported to Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, where he will undergo these procedures.
t is not possible to retrieve the gunshot fragments at this time. The injuries that he sustained are the ones that his medical team is certain of at this moment. Additionally, his medical team will conduct additional tests and investigations over the coming few days and weeks in order to determine whether or not he has any additional ailments that have not yet manifested themselves. The news and outcomes that have been delivered to his family are dreadful, and neither his mother nor his father intends to hear them.
At the very least, Kole will be receiving treatment at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge for the next two weeks. This will be the beginning of the care that he will require, and then he will spend several months in a rehabilitation centre. Hebert is the son of Tracy and Kelly, and his name is Kole. Recently, Kole celebrated his 18th birthday, and he was planning to graduate in May of 2024. He enjoys activities in the great outdoors, such as hunting, fishing, and of course, baseball, as many of you are aware.
A full baseball scholarship was offered to Kole, and he committed to attending LSUE for the fall of 2025. He has one sister, Katie Hebert Douet, and four brothers, Kody Hebert, Chase Guidroz, Chaz Hebert, and Kade Hebert.
He is the seventh and final child in the family. His family and friends are in utter disbelief after hearing the devastating news and the prognosis that they have received regarding their loved one.
