Ken Collins Obituary, Resident Of Charlotte NC Passed Away – Death

 The passing of Kenneth Marvin “Ken” Collins has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and the Hays community mourns the loss of a cherished member. Ken, aged 72, departed on October 22, 2023, at HaysMed, leaving behind a legacy that spans his life journey.

Born on June 23, 1951, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Ken was the son of Franklin L. and Virginia Sue Collins. His roots in North Carolina shaped the early chapters of his life, and in 1970, he graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in Yanceyville. Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Ken attended Rockingham Community College, focusing his studies on Business Law.

Ken’s journey took a patriotic turn as he served his country in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974. During his service, he held the rank of Specialist with the 207th MP Company, stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas.

His dedication and service to the nation reflect a commitment that echoes in the hearts of those who knew him. Beyond his military service, Ken’s life journey brought him to Hays, where he became a valued member of the community. His presence was undoubtedly felt, and the news of his passing reverberates through the community, leaving an indelible mark.
