Joseph Hudson Obituary, Joseph Hudson Has Passed Away – Death

In a calm and peaceful manner, Joseph John Hudson, age 83, of Medford, New Jersey, passed away on January 4, 2024. His loving wife of 59 years, Darylene Edith (Bell) Hudson, will be waiting for him in heaven, where they will join each other again. Theresa “Terri” Hudson, Karen Wick (Matt), and Joseph Hudson (Kelly) are the proud children of their devoted father. In addition to being the cherished Pop-Pop of Zachary (Melanie),

Lauren, Brian, Kaylee, Hank, Riley, and Benjamin, he is also the Great-Grandfather of Kylie Belle and Kira Noelle. His three siblings, Francis, Celeste, and Marguerite, all passed away before him. One of his brothers, John, as well as a large number of nieces, other family members, and friends who will never forget him. Joe was born and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He had his high school education at Holy Spirit High School, where he participated in three different sports. He moved on to Monmouth University, where he began his college career as a basketball player.

He was at Guarantee Bank when he met the woman who would become the love of his life. After that, they moved to Oaklyn, New Jersey, and eventually settled in Medford in the early 1970s.

Not only did Joe put in a lot of effort to further his own education by simultaneously working a number of jobs and attending night school in order to graduate from Rutgers, but he also made a significant contribution to the academic careers of all of his children and grandchildren.

Joe worked his way up to become a well-known and successful executive in the insurance industry. He also earned his CPCU certification. If he worked as hard as he played, then he played just as hard as he worked.

Joe took great pride in his family and enjoyed lavishing them with gifts. The crazy sense of humour that he possessed, which included singing loud, off-key shower solos, was always able to keep everyone laughing and smiling.

For Joe, the ideal weekend would consist of a round of golf with his friends, a delicious meal, a glass of wine, and a nice cigar, followed by a day spent at the beach in Ocean City, where he would be surrounded by his family and enjoy the warm weather and relaxation. Joe’s love and generosity towards his family and friends will be remembered for all time. He will be remembered for an eternity.
