Jack Blair Obituary, Resident of Colorado Springs Has Died – Death

On Monday, October 2, 2023, Jack Daniel Blair, who was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on May 31, 1942, died away in the comfort of his own home. He was surrounded by his wife, Marlene, and his daughters, Kristin Blair Dugger and Leslie Johnson. Jack Daniel Blair was currently residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A proud graduate of New Mexico State University, Jack retired from the Office of Inspector General at the United States Department of Energy. He was also a proud alumnus of New Mexico State University.

Nevertheless, the years that he spent working for the government, first with the United States Border Patrol and then moving on to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he held the positions of Special Agent and Drug Enforcement Coordinator, were the ones that he was most enthusiastic about.

His service in the New Mexico National Guard lasted from 1959 until 1963, and he was discharged with honours after serving in that capacity. Additionally, Jack was a member of the Tennis Club of Albuquerque and played tennis with a great deal of enthusiasm. Both as a player and as a captain, he spent many years competing in the United States Tennis Association League.

During that time, his teams won 27 Sectional Championships and one National Championship in Hawaii. Painting, spending time with his family and friends, and going on walks with his dog Mollie were all activities that Jack cherished and enjoyed during his free time.

Everyone who had the privilege of knowing him will grieve his passing deeply. As part of his efforts to gather money and donations for those in need, Jack established the “Love Serving Love” programme for the tennis community in Albuquerque.

In addition to his father, Daniel L. Blair, his mother, Janice L. Blair, his brother James E. Blair, his brother Joe M. Blair, his brother Tom L. Blair, his sister Sallye L. Judkins, his brother-in-law Carl “Gene” Judkins, his nephew Tommy Blair, and his niece Carlene Judkins, he was preceded in death by his siblings.

Jack is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marlene Blair; his daughters Kimberley Blair Trezise (Chris), Kristin Blair Dugger (Neil), Leslie Johnson, and Lauren Hegna (Corey); his named brother Grady Enger; his grandchildren Lauren Trezise Hanthorn (Tim), Michael Trezise, Jack Dugger, Blair Dugger, Jacob Hegna, and Emily Hegna; his great-grandchild Asher Hanthorn; his nephews Dan Judkins (Celia), Scott Blair (Maureen), Michael “Lance” Blair (Michele), and Michael “Lance” Blair (Michele); and his niece Stacey Rossi (Mike). One of the most important messages that Jack left for his wife, Marlene, was, “I’ll be waiting for you.” You have my love.
