Dr. Martin Sanders Obituary, Resident of Nyack NY is Dead – Death

We are sharing the news of the sudden demise of Reverend Dr. Martin Sanders, who was a good friend, mentor, and co-host of the Mentored Podcast. It is with a heavy heart and teary eyes that I share this information with you. We have had innumerable chats, been through many different areas of the world together, and laughed heartily at the tiny ironies that life throws at us throughout the course of our thirty-year friendship and as members of Leighton Ford’s Point Group.

We’ve grappled with the most significant questions, celebrated the triumphs of the smallest achievements, and gained a great deal of knowledge from one another. Martin was not only a shining example of wisdom, but he was also a source of warmth and wit. His faith was unwavering, his enthusiasm was unconquerable, and his smile was contagious. They were all wonderful qualities. Many people looked up to him as a guide, and he was always prepared to provide a word of wisdom or a prayer from the heart. The lives that he changed and the hearts that he inspired will carry on his legacy long after he is gone.

These are the kinds of occasions when it’s easy to wonder why a man of such high moral character had to leave us. But instead, let us reflect on how fortunate we were to have had the opportunity to know him.

The legacy of love, faith, and mentoring that he left behind should be carried forward, and we should celebrate his life and embrace his lessons. While we are working through this loss, let us take solace in the knowledge that Martin is now in a place with his beloved Dianna, where there are no farewells but just unending delight.

According to Martin’s own words, “Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow, what a ride!’” Martin, our beloved friend, rest in peace.

The adventure that you have taken has been quite remarkable. Your spirit will continue to guide us even after you are gone, and we will miss you very much. It is a privilege to have you as a part of our lives.
