Special Weapons and Tactics were sent to the spot. At 8:39 p.m., the suspect allegedly emerged from the apartment armed with a knife and approached the officers who were waiting outside. This information was provided by the police.

In accordance with the statements made by Superintendent Christopher Kearns of the Allegheny County Police Department, “He refused their commands, continued approaching officers with a knife in her hands, and several of the officers ended up firing at the subject.” County police said that the guy was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident where the incident occurred.

According to the documentation that was submitted to the court at this time, Christopher Lee Shepherd was charged with aggravated assault in connection with this occurrence. Shepherd allegedly attempted to stab law enforcement officers by putting a knife through the plywood of the house, and he turned down the opportunity to collaborate with the police over this subject.
