Mill Creek Care Centre (MCCC) in Barrie was the place where Stu, a beloved spouse who had been Evelyn’s companion for the past 39 years, passed away on March 29, 2023. Stu had been a companion to Evelyn as long as she could remember.
In addition to his brother, Tom, his parents, Tom and Kate, passed away before everyone else. His parents were the first to pass away.
During the time that Stu spent working for Bell Canada and Entourage, he was able to establish a significant number of friends that would remain in his life for the rest of his life and who had a special place in his heart. In addition to being a genuine guy who enjoyed interacting with others, he was also dedicated to the work that he conducted. Unfortunately, Stu was unable to continue working at a young age due to an injury and subsequent ailments that he suffered after the incident.
This prevented him from continuing his career. At MCCC, he was fortunate enough to receive fantastic treatment, where he was transferred to a floor with which he developed a strong bond and received compassionate care from staff members who loved him.
He was a pleasure to take care of and never voiced any complaints. Additionally, he made it a point to convey his appreciation to the staff on a regular basis, which, in turn, made him feel like a one-of-a-kind individual with his amazing sense of humour.
The knowledge that Stu was able to spend his final years among such exceptional people was a significant source of comfort for him.
