On Tuesday, December 19th, the world bid farewell to a beloved soul, Harry Welch, who peacefully passed away at the age of 88. Harry was a man whose presence radiated warmth, kindness, and an unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
To his beloved wife, Eileen, Harry was not just a husband but a lifelong companion, sharing countless moments of joy, laughter, and unwavering support. His dedication and love knew no bounds, evident in the beautiful family they built together.
As a father, Harry was the embodiment of guidance and love. Kevin, Sharon, Alison, and Ian were not just his children, but the center of his universe. His love and wisdom sculpted their lives, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
Harry’s role as a grandfather and great-grandfather brought him immeasurable joy. His eyes would light up at the sight of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, their laughter echoing through the halls of his heart. His playful spirit and endless affection made him an adored figure in their lives.
Beyond his role as a family man, Harry was a pillar of strength in his community. His kindness knew no bounds, and his willingness to help others was evident to all who crossed his path. In honoring Harry’s life, a funeral service and cremation will be held at Rotherham Crematorium on Monday, January 15th, at 4:15 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations, if desired, made payable to the R.N.L.I c/o G Mirfin & Son, 2 Manvers Road.
