Donnie Cogar Obituary, A Life Well-Lived

On Saturday, January 6, 2024, the Waynesville, Missouri community bid farewell to a beloved member, Donnie Shane Cogar, who peacefully passed away in Springfield at the age of 69. Donnie’s life will be celebrated and remembered during funeral services scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Idumea Baptist Church in Laquey, Missouri. The burial will follow at the Idumea Cemetery, with arrangements entrusted to Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Cogar, and their daughter, Amanda Larson, along with her husband Jason and their son Ethan, all residing in Waynesville. His brother, Dean Cogar, and sister-in-law Kathy, also of Waynesville, share in the grief of his passing.

Additionally, Donnie is survived by his brother-in-law Bill Henson and wife Beth of Mustang, Oklahoma, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of other relatives and dear friends.

Donnie Shane Cogar was more than a name; he was a pillar of strength, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His impact on the lives of those who knew him will be felt for generations to come.

As the community gathers to say their final goodbyes, the memories of Donnie’s kindness, warmth, and laughter will live on, a testament to a life well-lived and a man deeply cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
