A warm greeting to you this morning! The Wednesday. What a miserable weekend we are having right now. Unfortunately, we have suffered the loss of a good friend. An unexpected death occurred on Saturday, and Jeanne Smith Richter was the person who went away.
When it comes to characterizing Jeanne, it is difficult to even consider where to start. Quite perceptive! I am so thankful! Not out of fashion at all! To be kind! Amazingly clever!
Jeanne was the only person who knew more about the restaurants in the neighbourhood than everyone else did. She was the only person who knew more than anyone else.
The reviews that she provided of restaurants were absolutely spot on, and she did an excellent job with them. When I was younger, going out to lunch with her was one of my favourite things to do. There were times when we were the only two people in the restaurant. We were aware that whatever we said would never, under any circumstances, be repeated, and as a result, we would engage in talks that were absolutely confidential. Being able to count on Jeanne as a friend was a blessing! It’s not often!!!
My last conversation with her was on Tuesday, when we were talking about the idea of having lunch together. I didn’t hear from her since then. She had already left by that point, which was only a few days later.
The gift of life is incomparably valuable. To put it another way, you never know. Consider making the most of every opportunity you have to provide joy to the lives of other people.
I am going to miss Jeanne a great deal due to her presence. It was a significant honour to be able to refer to her as a friend. On behalf of her family and her dedicated husband, John, I would ask that you please accept my sincerest sympathies. I want to express my appreciation to you, Jeanne, for being such a wonderful friend. You were exceedingly kind and generous to a great number of people.
