Bret Alemy Obituary, Wayne New Jersey Resident Passed Away – Death

The community of Orlando, Florida, is in mourning over the unexpected death of a beloved figure, Bret Alemy, who passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the age of fifty. This tragic turn of events has left the community in a state of shock. In addition to being a loyal family man, an outstanding law enforcement officer, and a determined champion for a safer neighbourhood, Bret leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will be remembered for many years to come.

Despite the fact that Bret Huttman was born in Wayne, New Jersey, his early years were spent in the quaint village of Stockholm. His parents were Richard Alemy and Rosanne (Lane) Huttman. Immediately after completing his high school education, he made a significant choice to enlist in the military. This decision laid the groundwork for a life that would be characterised by self-control, bravery, and a dedication to having a constructive influence on the world.

A fortunate event occurred in Bret’s life when he met Jo Ann, the woman he would spend the rest of his life with, while he was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque. Their connection became deeper over the years, and it eventually became the basis for a thirty-year marriage that is full with love, support, and ambitions that they both hope to achieve together.

After completing his time in the military, Bret went back to his hometown and became an officer with the Hardyston Police Department in January of 1998. From the very beginning, it was clear that he gave his full attention to public duty and was committed to ensuring the security of his neighbourhood. As a result of his outstanding work ethic and leadership characteristics, he was promoted multiple times within the department. His work ethic and leadership qualities were not overlooked.

In 2003, Bret and his family made their home in Wantage, and he continued to serve and protect the community as a member of the Hardyston Police Department. He finally became the Chief of Police, a position he proudly held until his retirement in the year 2020. His unrelenting dedication to his community and his duties catapulted him through the ranks until he eventually accepted the role of Chief of Police.

Bret’s retirement did not mean that he would relinquish his dedication to making a difference in the world. In a seamless transition into a new chapter of his service career, he was promoted to the position of Vice President of Programme Development for Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence (L.E.A.D.), a non-profit organisation whose mission is to promote safe and healthy communities via education and outreach.

Jo Ann, his devoted wife, with whom he had a relationship and friendship that lasted for thirty years, is the only person who will remember Bret Alemy. Alexis and her husband Mike, Nicholas and his wife Morgan, and Brynne were Bret’s children, and they were a continual source of pride and delight for him. All of his relatives, including his mother, Rosanne Huttman, and his father, Richard Alemy, as well as his brother, Eric, and sister, Beth, and a large number of nieces and nephews, will carry on his legacy.

As the community joins together to grieve the death of this great guy, the memory of Bret Alemy will endure through the countless lives he touched, the families he safeguarded, and the good changes he spearheaded. Bret Alemy will be remembered for his contributions to the community. As a way of paying tribute to his memories, let us make it our mission to carry on his legacy of selflessness, commitment, and affection for one another.
