Danny Ray Barker, who was 69 years old and were originally from Darden, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018, in the city of Jackson, Tennessee. It was during his 35-year career with the City of Lexington that he served as Chief of the Fire Department for 18 of those years.
His career spanned the entirety of his tenure with the corporation. He had around forty years of service in the United States Army and was a veteran’s service officer for Henderson County. He had served in the military. He served in the United States Army for a period of time.
Some of the people who are still alive after his passing include his wife, Janice Reeves Barker, a daughter named Susan Small who is married to Kenny and resides in Lexington, a brother named Lanny Barker who is married to Mary Pat and lives in Indianapolis, and a grandchild named Zachary Small.
His mother, Maxine Barker, and his father, Dee Witt, both went away before he was born. As they did, he replicates their actions. The funeral services are set to take place at Reeds Chapel on Tuesday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m., the date and time of the funeral.
The deceased person will then be laid to rest at the Darden Cemetery with full military honours following the funeral service.
On Monday, there will be a viewing with the family from 11 AM until 9 PM, and beginning at 9 AM on Tuesday, there will be a visitation until the service begins.
