William, known to family and friends as a kind and gentle soul, leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished moments. Born to Jim and Dorette Humphries, he was nurtured in an environment that instilled in him the values of compassion, integrity, and a strong sense of family. These qualities became the foundation of the remarkable life he led.
At the center of William’s world was his beloved wife, Renee, who shared with him the joys and challenges of life’s journey. Together, they built a bond that weathered the storms and celebrated the sunny days. His devotion to Renee was unwavering, a testament to the depth of his character and the love that defined their union.
In addition to his immediate family, William embraced the role of stepfather to Austin and Andrew, his stepsons. Through his guidance and love, he played an instrumental part in shaping their lives, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. To celebrate and honor William’s life, a visitation will be held on Friday, January 12th, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Salmon Room of the Second Presbyterian Church, located at 4055 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38117. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at 3:00 PM in the same location, where friends and family will come together to share memories, offer condolences, and find solace in each other’s company.
