Sandra Walton Obituary, In Loving Memory of Sandra Casper Walton, Death

The Flash Today regrets to inform the community of the passing of Sandra Casper Walton, a cherished member of our community, who left us on December 22 at the age of 83. Sandra’s departure is mourned by many, and our thoughts and prayers are extended to her family and friends as they navigate through this difficult time.

Visitation to honor Sandra’s memory will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. this evening, January 4, at Stephenville Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, January 5, also at Stephenville Funeral Home, with Mike Scott officiating. Following the service, Sandra will be laid to rest at Indian Creek Cemetery near Selden.

Sandra Casper Walton, born on October 29, 1937, in Murray, Utah, was the beloved daughter of Arthur L. and Bernice Grant Casper. Her academic journey led her to graduate from Jordan High School in 1955. Sandra’s pursuit of knowledge continued as she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah and later a Master of Arts in Teaching from Tarleton State University.

A devout member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sandra was actively involved in her faith community. She served as a teacher, chorister, dance, and drama instructor, and Sunday School chorister, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those she touched. Sandra also found solace and community at Rocky Point Church in Stephenville.

Sandra’s passion for education and the arts shone through in her roles as a teacher and dance and drama instructor. Her dedication to shaping young minds and fostering creativity left an indelible mark on the community.

As we bid farewell to Sandra Casper Walton, let us remember the vibrant life she led and the positive influence she had on those around her. May she rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who mourn her passing.
