Sam Rimmer Obituary, Urgent Appeal For Information On Sam’s Murder

In the late hours of Tuesday, 16th August, tragedy struck on Lavrock Bank in Dingle, as Sam, a vibrant 23-year-old, was fatally injured when two assailants on electric bikes opened fire towards a group of friends.

Despite the immediate response from officers and ambulance staff, Sam succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The incident has left a community in shock and mourning the loss of a promising young life.

A subsequent intensive investigation has led to the arrest of 10 individuals connected to the murder, but to date, no charges have been filed.

As the community braces for what would have been Sam’s 24th birthday on Saturday, 6th January, authorities are issuing a heartfelt plea for anyone with information to come forward. Detective Chief Inspector Steve McGrath, the Senior Investigating Officer, expressed the urgency of cooperation, stating, “Every birthday is another milestone Sam’s family are forced to endure.

This was a young man with his whole life ahead of him. It is vital that anyone who hasn’t already come forward to speak to us does so as a matter of urgency. Sam’s family deserves to get the answers and to see someone brought to justice.”

As Sam’s loved ones grapple with the pain of his absence, the quest for justice intensifies. The community is called upon to unite, share any relevant information, and ensure that those responsible for this heinous crime are held accountable.
