It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Judy Simons on Wednesday evening, January 3rd. Judy served as St Helena’s Commonwealth Games Federation Regional Vice President (Americas) until her untimely departure.

A stalwart member of the Commonwealth Sport family for many years, Judy held the esteemed position of Commonwealth Games Federation Board member since 2019. Judy Simons’ dedication to the Commonwealth Sport community was unwavering,

making her a highly valued and respected figure within the organization. Her contributions extended beyond her regional responsibilities, leaving an indelible mark on the broader Commonwealth Games Federation.

Her leadership, insights, and commitment significantly influenced the success and growth of the Commonwealth Sport movement. As we come to terms with the loss of such a pivotal figure, our thoughts and condolences go out to Judy’s family and friends during this challenging time.
