Michael Logsdon Obituary, A Remarkable Life Remembered

In a somber turn of events, the community mourns the unexpected passing of Michael Logsdon, a devoted deputy with Hart County Jail, and the proprietor of Logsdon’s Septic Service. At the age of 56, Michael, known affectionately as Mike, left this world unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, January 2nd, at his home.

Mike’s multifaceted contributions to his community and the lives he touched make his sudden departure all the more poignant. Beyond his role as a dedicated law enforcement officer, Mike’s legacy extends to his family, friends, and those who knew him as a kind-hearted individual. As a deputy with Hart County Jail, Mike served with integrity and commitment.

His professionalism and dedication were evident in every aspect of his work, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and those under his care. In addition to his law enforcement duties, Mike was the proud owner and operator of Logsdon’s Septic Service, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and a tireless work ethic.

His commitment to providing essential services to the community demonstrated his sense of responsibility and care for the well-being of those around him. Mike’s involvement extended beyond his professional life; he was an active member of Immanuel Ministries, reflecting his spiritual commitment and dedication to his faith community.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Byron Logsdon and Wilma Rucker Logsdon, as well as two brothers, Ray Logsdon and Jack Logsdon, and a half-sister, Kathy. Mike leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on the hearts of those who knew him. Surviving him is his loving wife, Cheryl Ramsey Logsdon, two daughters, Ashley Logsdon and Elizabeth Strickland (Cameron), and four grandchildren – Jocelyn Michelle Logsdon, Maya Grace Logsdon, Nolan Strickland, and Lillie Jean Strickland.

He is also survived by a sister, Lois Bergenson (Israel), and his aunts Betty Pannell (Bobby), Jenny Bryant (Buck), Carol Defries, and Diane Grace. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Michael Logsdon will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 6th, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, with Bro. Phillip Trent officiating. The interment will take place at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation to pay respects and offer condolences will be held on Friday from 2-8 pm, continuing after 8 am on Saturday at the Sego Funeral Home. As the community gathers to remember and honor the life of Michael Logsdon, let us reflect on the legacy of a dedicated public servant, a loving family man, and a cherished friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
