In the midst of the holiday season and with a heavy heart, we share the shocking news of the passing of our dear friend Mark Sturgill. As many of you have inquired about the details, we want to inform you that an official obituary will be released later this week. However, in the meantime, we invite you to join us in celebrating Mark’s life at a gathering that will be held at Southside Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Ky on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at 2 pm.
Mark touched the lives of many with his infectious laughter, warm heart, and unwavering support. In light of this profound loss, we want to come together to share our memories, console one another, and honor the beautiful soul that Mark was. The gathering will be a celebration of his life, a time to reflect on the moments we shared, and an opportunity to find solace in each other’s company during this difficult time.
Following the service, there will be a meal for family and close friends at the Southside Fellowship Hall, providing a space for all to connect, support one another, and reminisce about the joy that Mark brought into our lives. We encourage you to pass on this information to those who knew and loved Mark, as all who shared in his life are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you consider making donations to support Mark’s children, Haylee and CJ Sturgill. These brave young souls have exhibited incredible strength in the face of tragedy and deserve our collective support to make their journey a little bit easier.
Mark will be cremated, and his ashes will find a final resting place alongside our precious Meme, exactly where he would have wanted to be. This act symbolizes the eternal bond and love that he shared with his family.
