Sharon Smith Obituary Pittsburgh PA, Death And Funeral Details

On Friday, June 23, 2023, Sharon Ann Smith-Hinson, who was 79 years old and a resident of Fort Worth, died away in a calm and serene manner with her devoted family by her side. On December 11, 1943, in the city of Fort Worth, she was born to C.D. Sealey, who passed away, and Earline Sealey.

Although Sharon and her family moved around quite a bit when she was growing up, it was on Dilworth Court in Fort Worth that she made the acquaintance of her future husband, Woody Hinson, as well as other people who would become her lifetime acquaintances. He received her diploma from Poly High School in the year 1962.

In 1965, she gave birth to her daughter Lisa, and it was then that she began a lifelong journey of passion and devotion as a mother. During her time with General Dynamics, Sharon visited Puerto Rico and the Philippines before making her way back to Texas. In addition to obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Wesleyan College, she also received her Associate of Arts degree from Tarrant County Junior College.

At the time of her graduation from TWC, Sharon was the most successful student. Following her time spent working at the School for the Deaf, Sharon went on to become a Special Education teacher for the FWISD department. She attended the University of North Texas once more in order to earn her Master’s degree and obtain the certification necessary to work as a Special Education Diagnostician for the Fort Worth Independent School District.

Sharon had a strong commitment to her job, as well as to the children and parents who she had the opportunity to work with throughout the years.

Over the course of her 36-year career, she served as a friend and a guide to a large number of her contemporaries. She left behind a legacy of a job well done when she resigned in 2008, and she left behind a lot of huge shoes to fill.
