Rocco Caputo Obituary Chicago IL, Death And Funeral Details

Caputo, Rocco Sr. “Loving husband, father and grandfather” On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Rocco Caputo, Sr., 68, of Terryville, previously of Plymouth, departed quietly from his residence. He was Kimberly (Crusius) Caputo’s spouse.

On June 30, 1955, in Tolve, Potenza, Italy, Rocco was born. He arrived in the country at the age of twelve and was the son of the late Antonio and Lucia (Mattia) Caputo.

He was a proud member of the US Marine Corps. Rocco was a dedicated member of Local 24 Union Carpenters for almost forty years, with a focus on acoustical ceilings, until he retired in 2015.

He also survived nearly eight years after receiving two lung transplants. Along with his family, he enjoyed cooking, gardening, and making homemade wine, sausage, and sauce. Rocco also lived in Florida for a portion of the year.

He was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. His siblings, Raffaella Signore, Teresa Bovino, Letizia Couture, Luciana Florio, Vita Venezia, and Evelina Gervickas, as well as their spouses, survive him. He was predeceased by three sisters, Rosa Tancredi, Anna LaCapra, and Domenica Iacovella, and two brothers, Donato and Mario Caputo.

He leaves his son Rocco Jr., his children, Rocco and Sia, his daughter Tina, her husband, Neal, and their children, Julianna and Nathan. The family expresses gratitude to VITAS Healthcare & Home Hospice Care CT and Remarkable Homecare of New Haven for providing Rocco with sensitive care.

Plans: Rocco’s funeral services will take place at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT, on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. The burial will take place in Waterbury’s New Pine Grove Cemetery. Rocco’s calling hours are scheduled for this Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
