The identities of some of the individuals who were engaged in a fatal head-on collision that occurred on a roadway in Johnson County on Tuesday evening have been made public by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The crash resulted in the deaths of six people and injuries to three others.
In the vicinity of CR 1234 and CR 1120, the tragic collision took place on U.S. Route 67. A white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Luke Resecker, who is 17 years old and from Glen Rose, was traveling south on Highway 67 in an area where it is a two-lane road south of Cleburne, according to a preliminary inquiry that was provided by Texas State Troopers.
The pickup truck was also being driven by another teenager who was passenger in the vehicle.
The truck is believed to have driven over into the northbound lane in a location where passing is prohibited, and then collided head-on with a van that was carrying seven people.
Following the collision between the two vehicles, the Texas Department of Public Safety reported to NBC 5 that a total of six individuals lost their lives and three others had injuries as a result of the incident. Six of the seven persons who were in the van were killed,
including two children, a girl who was nine years old and a boy who was ten years old. The collision also claimed the lives of a lady who was 36 years old, a woman who was 60 years old, and a guy who was 64 years old. In addition to being killed, Rushil Barri, who was 28 years old and from Irving, was the driver of the van.
