Family was at the center of Denise’s universe, and her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Vernon, and Elizabeth Hadder Davis, but she is survived by her sister, Dianne D. Waller, and her brother, Robert V. Davis, Jr., along with their respective families. Nieces and nephews continue to cherish the memories of an aunt whose love knew no bounds.
Denise’s life was marked by her love for literature, and she was an avid reader with a particular passion for mystery novels. Her extensive library, filled with works by James Patterson and other authors, stands as a testament to her curiosity and love for a good story.
Denise’s intellect and curiosity were evident to all who knew her, and she shared her passion for reading with those around her.

She is survived by her daughters, Lindsey Peterson Baker and husband, Keith of Virginia Beach, VA; Blake Elaine Schrader and husband, Kyle of Charlotte, NC; and Molly Carter Peterson of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lennon and Charlie Schrader, and Koy Baker; sister Dianne D. Waller of Richmond, VA; brother Robert V. Davis, Jr. and wife Sherry of Ashburn, VA; nieces and nephews.
