Following a shooting on March 23 at an outlet mall close to Glendale’s Westgate Entertainment District that injured four people, including a 4-year-old child, a juvenile male will face adult charges. According to Glendale Police Officer Tiffany Ngalula, the call for allegations of a confrontation between two groups of people that resulted in a shooting came in at the Tanger Outlets around 2:40 p.m.
Authorities made public body camera footage of cops arriving at the site on March 24, only minutes after 911 calls began to come in. Police could be seen racing to the site in the footage, and as soon as the firing stopped, stores went into lockdown. After conducting two searches, companies were released from lockdown around 5:45 p.m. Police claim that this was a singular event and not an active shooter situation.
