Antonia H. Velasco, Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother died on Friday, June 29, 2007, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by family and loved ones, after a long illness. 87 years old. Antonia H. Huerta was born on July 12, 1919, to the late Thomas and Feliciana Huerta in Calvillo, Aquascalientes, Mexico.

FUNERAL LITURGY: Antonia’s funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington.
The Rev. William R. Taylor will preside. Roselawn Memorial Gardens will host the Rite of Committal. VISITATION: Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State). Antonia will be laid to rest at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral Mass.
Antonio Velasco, and Anita (Mark) Mauch, all of Saginaw, survive, as do her two sons and one daughter, all of Saginaw; one daughter-in-law, Olivia M. Velasco, Shreveport, Louisiana; her nine adoring grandchildren and their spouses, Irene (James) LaDrig, Maria (Ken) Pimentel, Raul (Lori) Velasco Jr. She was predeceased by two sons, Raul and Javier Velasco, as well as one daughter, Irene Velasco, and other brothers and sisters.
She married Conrado P. Velasco on February 8, 1937, in Mexico, and the couple immigrated to the United States in 1953. On February 9, 1998, Conrado passed away.
Antonia belonged to Holy Family Catholic Church, as well as Damas de Guadalupe and the Crucillistas Club. She cherished spending time with her family, particularly on Sundays, when she hosted a family breakfast for over 46 years. Cornelio Velasco
