We’re sorry to say that Correction Officer Tom Cooke has died. This message makes me feel very sad and serious. We’re sorry to tell you this. The whole time he lived, Tom was brave and strong. Fighting cancer was a brave thing for him to do. He was strong and determined the whole time.
People who worked with and were helped by Officer Cooke will never forget how much he meant to them. When we think of his selfless service and strong character, this is what comes to mind. Tom always did a great job as a Correction Officer. The people he was in charge of felt safe and in order when he was there.
It’s a sad time for people who knew and worked with Cooke and his family. Let them know that we’re thinking about them. Officer Cooke’s death breaks our hearts. He worked hard for the government. We all want to help each other, even though things are tough right now.
