Shooting Outside National Park:

 The victims of a drive-by shooting that took place near to Nationals Park are in our thoug hts and prayers. We express our sympathies to family and friends. As a result of the passing of a valued person, our hearts are wounded, and we offer our support to those who have been affected.

The loss of one life and the wounding of three more lives were the direct results of a moment of brutality that is beyond comprehension.

Our hearts are broken by the untimely passing of a cherished person whose life was cut short in a senseless act of violence. As the shadows of this awful occurrence continue to cast their shadows, we lament the loss of this individual.

At a time when the community is reeling from this catastrophe, our thoughts are with those who were harmed; their pain and recovery are now a worry that we all share. We are all concerned about them.

In the midst of such terrible circumstances, we continue to be together, and we want to convey our support and solidarity to everyone who has been affected by an act that beyond comprehension. We want to offer our deepest sympathies and prayers to those who are now going through the process of recovering from the sudden loss that they have experienced. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends who are in the position of having to deal with a premature loss.

We hope that we, as a community, will find solace in the embrace of one another, that we will be able to offer aid to those who are in need, and that we will be able to maintain our resilience in the face of the shadows of violence that want to destroy the peace that we have worked so diligently to maintain. While we are united in our opposition to such senseless atrocities, let us remember the life that was stolen and send our thoughts of healing to those who have been harmed.

Leslie Vicente Vicente Obituary, Death; – A deceased woman, identified as 19-year-old Leslie Vicente Vicente, was discovered on Wednesday evening outside Fort Lupton. The Greeley Police Department stated that the body and vehicle were found in a body of water near U.S. 85 and Weld County Road 22, approximately 5 miles north of Fort Lupton. A nearby gravel quarry employee alerted authorities after noticing signs of a submerged vehicle. The news release does not mention any suspicions of foul play or specify the exact body of water where the vehicle was located. Both Greeley and Fort Lupton police, along with dive team members from the Greeley Fire Department and the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District, responded to the scene. The dive team successfully recovered the woman’s body, who was the sole occupant of the submerged vehicle. The Weld County coroner identified the woman as Vicente Vicente and informed her next of kin. Vicente Vicente had traveled to Greeley on June 13 for a religious event at Island Grove Regional Park and was last seen at a gas station on 42nd Street in Evans. The Fort Lupton Police Department is currently investigating her death and encourages anyone with information to contact them at 303-857-4011.
