In Memoriam: Helen Jane Watson, a beloved soul, departed this world peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by the love of her family. Helen, known fondly as “Foggie,” passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Chalmers Hospital in Banff.Helen’s life was marked by love, family, and cherished moments.

She was the devoted wife of the late Robbie and a beloved mother to Graeme and Allan. Her warmth extended to her daughters-in-law, Shona and Mandy, who were embraced as part of her family.

Helen was not just a mother but a loving grandmother to Philip, Claire, Eirian, Dan, Alisanne, Aleisha, and Amber. Her role as a great-grandmother, affectionately known as “G G” to Haig and Ella, added even more joy and laughter to the family.

A funeral service to celebrate Helen’s remarkable life will take place at Marnoch New Church, Aberchirder, on Friday, December 29, at 11 am. Following the service, a solemn procession will proceed to Marnoch Cemetery, where Helen will find her final resting place.

In honor of Helen’s memory, the family kindly requests that attendees refrain from sending floral arrangements. Instead, they invite contributions to be made at the church door, with all proceeds dedicated to the Friends of Chalmers Hospital. This gesture reflects Helen’s spirit of generosity and her commitment to supporting the community.

All friends and well-wishers are respectfully invited to join the family in bidding farewell to Helen, remembering the warmth, kindness, and love that she shared throughout her 87 years. May her legacy of love and family endure in the hearts of those who knew her.
