Greg Reese Obituary, Retired Lieutenant At Prince William County Fire & Rescue System Has Died

 It is with a heavy heart and a profound sense of grief that the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue expresses its sorrow over the passing of retired Lieutenant Greg Reese. Greg, a devoted and excellent fireman, began his distinguished career with the department on March 20, 1978, and he continued to serve with dedication until the day he retired on May 31, 2010.

Greg’s dedication to service remained unwavering even after he retired, as evidenced by the fact that he continued to participate as an Instructor until April 30, 2016.

During his time with the department, Lieutenant Reese had a significant impact on a variety of departments and divisions, including Operations, Training, and Public Safety Communications, where he left an indelible legacy. Because of his extensive expertise and unflinching determination, he became a person who was well-regarded by his contemporaries.

In the years following his retirement, Greg continued to exert his influence by working as an adjunct instructor for the Virginia Department of Fire Programs.

Because of his dedication to educating and training the future generation of firefighters, he traveled throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, during which time he shared his knowledge and enthusiasm for the firefighting profession.

During this time of mourning for the loss of a devoted public worker, information regarding the funeral services for Lieutenant Greg Reese will be communicated to the community at the appropriate time. During this difficult time, the department asks that the community keep the Reese family in their thoughts and prayers.
