It is with the heaviest of hearts that I must inform you that yesterday, the Military Police saw the passing of yet another fallen military member. A young member of the Military Police, Corporal Jeffery Comeau, has gone on to a better place.
Due to the fact that Jeff, Evan Dixon, and I worked together in a tiny office, this came as a complete surprise to us.
There were many days in which we laughed, and there were also days in which we realized that Jeff was the person to whom we might give assistance. When the time comes for Evan and I to return to the same workplace after the holidays, things are not going to be the same as they were before, but we will be there for one other.
For as long as she could remember, Cali was completely devoted to Jeff. Whenever she had the opportunity, she would be in his arms, showering him with devotion, which he gladly accepted and returned to her. Every morning, she would be so excited to walk through the door and see him so that she could say hello.
And on the occasions when Jeff and Evan were working together in the office, she would do all in her power to be with both of them. She would not be sure whose lap she wanted to be on, but she would make every effort to sit with both of them at the same time.
She would have spent the entire day sitting on their laps if I had allowed her to do so. Following that, as our day came to an end, she would rush up to them to bid them farewell and say, “See you tomorrow.” I would appreciate it if you could get in touch with our other members throughout the Christmas season.
The most difficult time of the year is upon a great number of individuals, particularly those who serve in the Canadian Armed Forces and the Military Police branch, both domestically and internationally.
