Someone from the Dungannon Football Club has died, and it makes us all very sad. His name was Garvin Campbell. We have no idea how to handle this bad news. As a player for Dungannon FC in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Garvin did a lot. Not just on the field, but in every part of our sports family, he has done great things.
In many ways, Garvin was like a member of a family with deep roots in Dungannon FC’s past. He made a big difference in the club. Our club is great because people like Garvin Campbell work hard and have a lot of energy. Ronald Campbell used to be his dad, but he’s not around anymore. A lot of people knew Ronnie as a Past President before he died. His love for the “beautiful game” is clear from the way football fans and his friends still talk about the times they spent with him playing.
The Dungannon Football Club wants Garvin’s family to know that they are praying for them and thinking about them during this very sad time. We are also thinking about his wife Lisa, their two kids Kate and Sam, his mom Barbara, his sister Clare, and the rest of his family.
Everyone in the Dungannon FC group feels this loss when things are bad. This is how we show our support: we’re all united.
We remember not only how good Garvin Campbell was on the field, but also how he made everyone around him feel. Somebody close to us has died. We will miss him, and not just because he was good at football.
We want to remember him with the same amount of joy and hard work that he brought to the Dungannon Football Club over the years.
