The Taunton Town Football Club community is sad as they say goodbye to a true club man and member, Dave Budge. We cannot begin to describe how sad we are about his death. It has left a hole in our hearts that will be hard to fill.
Because Dave has been dedicated to Taunton Town for so many years, the club now sees him as an important part of the team. He was a well-known figure at the Somerset Campervan Co Stadium, and he took his job as a loyal fan of the team exceptionally seriously. He and the late, great Chairman Tom Harris have become a unique sight in recent years. People have seen them riding around on their mobility scooters, showing the friendly attitude that our club is known for.
Dave has done so much for me that I will never be able to repay him. At the time that Tom was chairman of the club, Dave’s actions around the stadium were very important.
Without a doubt, Dave approached every project with the same level of excitement and devotion. He worked hard behind the scenes for the club for many hours, no matter how big or small the job was.
Please know that we are sorry for your loss during this difficult time. The people close to Dave are in our thoughts and prayers.
Everyone in the Taunton Town community is very sad about the death of such a kind and caring person. Individuals who did not have the chance to know Dave will always remember him through their memories.
Dave, take a good nap. Our hearts will be broken when you leave us, and the Taunton Town Football Club will always remember you and carry your memory through its proud past.
