Born on February 19, 1990, in Effingham, Illinois, Eric was the son of Andrew and Lisa Jansen (née Heuerman).
He spent his early years attending St. Michael’s Grade School and later moved on to Neoga High School, where his enthusiasm for sports began to flourish. His love for athletics led him to Eastern Illinois University, where he pursued a Masters of Science in Sports Administration, cementing his commitment to the world of sports.
One of Eric’s defining characteristics was his unwavering loyalty to the St. Louis Cardinals. As a lifelong fan, he reveled in the victories and weathered the defeats with the resilience that only true sports enthusiasts possess. His passion for the Cardinals became a source of joy and camaraderie, connecting him with friends and fellow fans alike.
Beyond his dedication to sports, Eric was also a proud homeowner. His accomplishment in purchasing his first home brought him a deep sense of pride, and he took great pleasure in renovating and personalizing the space.
