It was his wish for any memorial contributions to be made to your local little league or the Dr. Arthur & Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex, c/o Town of Auburn Parks and Recreation, 102 Central St.Away from work, Chris found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid New York Mets fan and took immense delight in watching their games. However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family, especially grilling in the backyard.
In addition to celebrating Chris’s vibrant life, his family advocates for awareness around heartburn and encourages anyone experiencing the condition to seek medical help promptly. Their message underscores the importance of taking such health concerns seriously and proactively addressing them.
The Engel family expresses their deep gratitude to the dedicated physicians, nurses, and staff at One Eaton Place Oncology/St. Vincent Hospital, with a special mention for Michele Proos, NP, who played a significant role in Chris’s care.
