Michael Pike Obituary, Elkhart IN “Michael Pike” Has Died

 It is incomprehensible to me that you would engage in violence that is not necessary! It cannot be denied that Michael Pike did not deserve to be treated in this manner! You were a remarkable human being in every respect, and you possessed a soul that was so extraordinarily generous. I hope you have a restful night, my dance companion; you will be missed by a vast number of people.

When it seems so unjust to pray for the families of those who have lost a living loved one, there are times when these prayers are the most appropriate. Death notification for Michael “Mike” Pike, who passed away. Michael A. “Mike” Pike, who had reached the age of 77 at the time of his passing, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. At the Webb-Shinkle Mortuary in Clearwater, there will be a visitation on Thursday, November 2, from 12 to 7 p.m., and family members will be present from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Services are scheduled to take place at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Haysville on Friday, November 3, at ten o’clock in the morning. Michael Pike joined his parents, Allen and Delta Pike, into the world on Sunday, February 10, 1946, at the St. Francis hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was the first child of the couple. Among the couple’s children, he was the first son. During his childhood, he attended all of the schools that were part of the Clearwater USD 264 school district.

After receiving his diploma from Clearwater High School, he went on to further his education by enrolling in classes at Butler County Community College. It was during his time at Cessna that he spent two years working. The day he joined the Air National Guard was September 9, 1965. He was a member of the Air National Guard. During the period of the Vietnam War, he was called up for active duty and sent to Korea during the years 1968 and 1969 and served there.

Over the course of more than 45 years, he was a member of the Kansas Adjutant Generals Department (AGD) and earned his commission at McConnell Air Force Base. Throughout his youth, Mike liked participating in a variety of hobbies, including bowling, town team slow pitch, and town team basketball. Bowling was one of his favourite activities.

Mike was a Master Mason, a Charter Member of the Midian Shrine Sumner County Wheatwackers, a Past Commander of the Wheatwackers, a Midian Temple Class Director, a Midian Shriners Camel Herder, and an Honorary Midian Shriners Keystone Kop. He received all of these honours for his contributions to the Masonic community. Furthermore, he was a member of the Midian Shriners fraternity.

All of his relatives, including his brother Randy Pike, his parents Lewis “Allen” and Delta (Whitesell) Pike, and his brothers-in-law Larry Bush and Butch Dreiling, had all passed away prior to his passing. Son Chad Pike and his wife, Maranda, of Clearwater; daughter Nikki Christiansen and her husband, Brian, of Clearwater; son Derek Pike and his wife, Tara, of Manistique, Michigan; sisters Veda Bush of Chickasha.
