It is with heavy hearts that the Glen Forrest Bowling Club announces the passing of our dear friend and former lawn bowler, Darryl Moren. Darryl left us last night, leaving behind a legacy of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and countless fond memories on the bowling green. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his wife Deb, daughter Emm Ren (Emma), son-in-law Wade Colquhoun, and his beloved grandchildren Scarlet and Charlie.
In this difficult time, we extend our arms to offer comfort and support to the Moren family. Darryl was not just a fellow bowler; he was a cherished member of our close-knit community. His passion for the sport and warm spirit endeared him to everyone he met. The news of his passing has cast a somber shadow over the Bowling Club, and we share in the grief felt by his family.
On behalf of the President, Committee, and all players of Glen Forrest Bowling Club, we extend our sincerest condolences. Darryl, affectionately known as “Dazza,” will be remembered for his laughter, camaraderie, and love for the game. As we bid farewell, we say, “Chalk a few up in the skies, Dazza!” Rest in peace, dear friend.
