Aiiloilo Fred Obituary, Aiiloilo Fred Has Died

It is with profound sorrow that we, the Tupa and Puni families, announce the unexpected and heartbreaking passing of a beloved soul, Aiiloilo Francis Emosi Fred Puni, affectionately known as Fred. At the age of 48, Fred departed this world on Sunday, the 3rd of December 2023, in Honiara, Solomon Islands. Fred’s roots spanned Samoa and Rarotonga, and he had called Papua New Guinea home for the past several years.

His warm and charismatic nature, coupled with his immense personality, endeared him to many. Fred was a cherished individual, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him. Survived by his grieving parents, Dr Teremoana Tupa Puni and Le Mamea Dr Emosi Puni, along with siblings Olo Ernest, Angelina, Tuimavave Stephen, Olo Teariki, and Mana, Fred’s passing leaves a void that cannot be easily filled. His legacy lives on through his children – Emoana, Simi, Micah, and Teira Amelia, also known as Ranginui Teremoana.

Today, Fred’s earthly journey begins its final stages as his body departs Honiara for Port Moresby. A funeral service in his honor is scheduled for Monday, the 11th of December 2023, in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Following the service, Fred will be laid to rest in Samoa, his eternal resting place. In these difficult times, we extend our deepest condolences to the Tupa and Puni families, mourning the loss of a remarkable soul. May Fred rest in eternal peace.
